Syndication Analyst

Gardner Capital is an affordable housing and renewable energy developer, investor, and tax credit syndicator with primary regional offices located in St. Louis, Dallas, San Francisco, Atlanta and Springfield, Missouri. The tax credit syndication arm of Gardner has seen significant growth over the last couple of years and is looking to expand its team. Under the direction of the Managing Director, the Syndication Analyst will primarily support the syndication team by providing support to its business development efforts for the state tax credit syndication platform. The job will entail work related to real estate investments financed with the federal and state Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) program.   The duties of this analyst position will be as follows:

Job Duties

  • Generating and maintaining various internal reports and spreadsheets pertaining to new production, pipeline, profitability etc.
  • Preparing, updating, analyzing real estate investment projections
  • Providing assistance in preparing Letters of Intent and Investment Summaries
  • Work closely with Closing Project Manager during the closing process of the investment to ensure projections match the closing documents
  • Update proprietary internal tracking system daily to keep reporting information accurate and up to date.
  • Assistance with other projects as necessary, based upon the needs of the company

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Public Policy or Urban Studies
  • Prior experience in LIHTC program, commercial real estate and/or multifamily housing
  • Experience in financial modeling is required
  • Motivated and detail-oriented
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications and financial spreadsheets
  • Highly organized with effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Proven strong verbal and written communication skills
