The Towne Square Apartments community in Dardenne Prairie provides 4, mixed-income, multi-family residences with 10% of the community serving the disabled
Gardner Capital Development and the town of Dardenne Prairie celebrated the grand opening of Towne Square Apartments at 10 a.m. on Sept. 15 at the Towne Square Apartment Clubhouse (900 Towne Square Drive).
Dardenne Prairie Mayor David Zucker participated in the ceremony, along with other key city officials who have supported this new affordable housing residential community.
Towne Square Apartments consists of 48 affordable two- and three-bedroom energy-efficient apartment homes with upscale floor plans and amenities. Also included is an outdoor playground and a clubhouse which features a library, fitness center, club room, fireplace, kitchen, and lounging porch. In response to the Missouri Housing Development Commission’s (MHDC) targeted focus for special needs, 10 percent of the community serves residents living with disabilities.
“Located adjacent to and within walking distance to a strong and growing retail/entertainment district, this affordable housing project offers residents connectivity to and employment opportunities within the surrounding community,” said Michael Gardner, principal and CEO, Gardner Capital Development. “With Towne Square Apartments, we hope to provide more than just a place to live. We hope to support jobs, and retail at an accessible site that will be conducive to long term development efforts in this area,” Gardner added.
The project was financed by the MHDC and RBC Capital. Other members of the development team for this project include the town of Dardenne Prairie, Baron Design & Associates, Double Diamond Construction, LLC, Cole Engineering, Crockett Engineering Consultants, and Century Real Estate Services.
