Deputy Chief of Staff
Gardner Capital is an affordable housing and renewable energy developer, investor, and tax credit syndicator with primary regional offices located in St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri
and Dallas, Texas. The development arm of Gardner Capital has seen significant growth and is looking to expand its team with the following position.
The Deputy Chief of Staff will be instrumental in overseeing daily office operations, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring effective communication within and between our St. Louis and Dallas offices. This role will directly contribute to our organizational goals by supporting executive departments, managing office budgets, coordinating with IT and external vendors, and overseeing the onboarding of new employees.
Job Duties:
- Administrative Support: Provide robust administrative support to the Chief of Staff, including managing active calendars, coordinating meetings, and handling confidential information with discretion.
- Office Operations Management: Oversee daily office operations, including managing phone lines, visitors, office supplies, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
- Technology Coordination: Coordinate with IT and external vendors for technology and telecommunication needs, ensuring seamless operational functionality.
- Project and Event Coordination: Organize office events, meetings, appointments, and participate in special projects, ensuring effective execution and follow-up.
- Onboarding and Policy Management: Oversee onboarding processes for new employees, manage office policies and procedures, and serve as the primary point of contact for facility management, vendors, and contractors.

- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Communication Proficiency: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Multitasking Ability: Capability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Leadership and Problem-Solving: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Independence and Collaboration: Resourceful collaborator who can also work effectively independently.
