Our staff’s commitment to affordable housing extends beyond our developers and investors. As part of that involvement we have provided tax credit compliance training to other syndicators, property managers and developers. We have also participated in studies sponsored by the Missouri Housing Development Commission relating to the efficiency of the tax credit program and the need for additional housing for seniors. In addition, we have participated in various task forces involving the following issues: housing issues in general, ways to improve the low-income housing tax credit program, the decline in the number of low income housing units, and ways to combat poverty through low-income housing.

We have also been instrumental in studying existing and pending legislation as well as working with state and national housing agencies and members of Congress to sponsor and support legislation to improve the overall efficiency of the low-income housing tax credit program.
